Why are you eating?

Every time you realize you’re eating today stop and ask yourself why?

Not in a judge-y way… that won’t take you anywhere good (have you noticed).

Just pause for a minute and check in with yourself and ask why.

If the answer is legit because you’re hungry (no bullsh!itting yourself), then rock on and keep scrolling.

But if it’s not hunger, then get curious.

Are you eating because you’re angry, frustrated, annoyed, pissed?

How about sad, lonely, dejected, disappointed?

Are you stuck feeling confused, overwhelmed, worried, or stressed and eating seems like a good idea? (At least you’re doing something).

Are you eating because someone offered you food? Brought it into the house, the office, your line of vision?

Are you eating just because you want it? Looks good, smells good, probably gonna taste good.

Are you bored eating? Reward eating? I deserve to relax eating?

Or is it plain old “can’t be f#cked doing what I should be doing” eating?

When you realize you’re eating just notice why.

Stop eating or don’t. You’re a grown-up… you can eat what you want for whatever reason you want.

But if what you really want is to stop overeating, bringing awareness to why you’re eating is the first step.
